Hi, I'm Aparna!

 

I'm an alumnus of Columbia University's Barnard College and a software engineer at Confluent, where I work on the metadata backend that powers Confluent Cloud’s control plane.

I enjoy exploring why systems fail, how they recover, and how performance and correctness can occasionally get along.​​

When I'm not writing code, you can find me solving puzzles, mentoring students, reviewing restaurants, practicing archery, hosting literary salons, or running (enthusiastically but not particularly skillfully...)
